Q: What is Travelfusion?

A: Travelfusion is a travel search company that has been developing over the past ten years. We provide a unique search model to allow customers to search for the cheapest fares and best travel options using our Direct Connect XML API technology to directly access over 180 airline and train suppliers. Our search software does all the hard work for you by quickly comparing fares across all of these suppliers and providing you with the best flights, all at the touch of the button. With offices in the UK and China, we have a diverse and accomplished team that works diligently to keep our booking system up to date and at the cutting edge of the technology as it develops.

Q: How do you provide such low fares?

A: Travelfusion has developed its own software to create a unique, powerful and intelligent search engine that offers users the best travel options and lowest fares available online. Using our travel meta search function to scan through hundreds of airline and travel booking sites, we search through all potential itinerary combinations to find the best values available and pass them on to you. Traveling is our passion, and we make it easier for you by searching further than our competitors. We search more airports and rail stations, look for nearby cities and outside traditional areas to find the cheapest flights and even offer you the ability to fine-tune your searches with the click of a button to find the best travel options. All this, and there are no extra hidden fees or charges. Ever.

Q: There are so many options - how do I know which flight to choose?

A: Our search model allows you to customise and tailor your search down to the last detail. Prefer direct flights? Tick the corresponding box to show only those results. Do you want the cheapest fare possible? By allowing the widest search parameters, multiple stops and flexible departure dates we can help you find the least expensive options. Do you have a destination in mind but flexible departure dates? Enter your origin and destination cities to use our price trends chart on the home page to see when fares for your selected route might be the cheapest. Or, after you've searched, click the "compare dates" tab on our results page to take advantage of all of our cached fare data to be sure you're getting the best deal. Use our "liked results" feature to quickly and easily compare a small set of results. Click on the tool menu at the end of your favourite result to "like" it and the selected result will be highlighted and move to the top of the rows for easy comparison.

Q: What are the search filters?

A: Take control over your search results with our easy to use search filters. Located on our results page, the filters give you the power to easily modify your search parameters to suit your needs. Click on the tabs to adapt the search results to your preferences with a simple drag or click of your mouse and the fare results will update automatically. Can't stand layovers? Check the box to search only for direct flights. Don't mind a longer flight if the price is right? Pull the maximum duration bar to the right to allow for a longer journey. We've even given you the option of choosing your favourite airlines and airports or you can book a train for overground travel if its available on your selected route. All this is simple, easy to do, and allows you to take charge of your search results and fare choices.

Q: How can I share a flight or rail journey with friends and family?

A: Want to make sure your friend is at the airport to pick you up when you return home from your holiday? Trying to convince your partner that you should get away on a city break soon? It's easy to share results with friends and family with our "share" features. To share a specific result, simply click on the tool menu at the end of that result row and select "email this journey." Within minutes your loved one will see this fare in their email inbox. Or, email results to yourself to make sure you remember which flight to book. Interested in sharing your great deal or next trip with all of your friends? Use the "share on Facebook" link on the right side of the page and soon everyone will know when to expect you back in town or that they should be jealous of your travel adventures!

Q: Why do some flights require two bookings?

A: In order to offer you the cheapest fares and best travel options, Travelfusion.co.uk offers users the ability to make two bookings in order to benefit from the lowest prices available online. When searching for a flight, you may notice a small icon with the number two on it. This means that your reservation will be made in two bookings. Click on the icon to be taken to the split screen showing you the two bookings, and the buttons that will take you directly to the site for each leg of your trip. This system is unique and ensures that users are offered the very best prices available, and allows you more options to save on your travel costs.

Q: When I select a flight I am redirected to another page for a different company? Why is this?

A: Travelfusion.co.uk's system relies on third party suppliers for prices and then sends customers directly to these sites to complete the booking. Once you have completed your search on Travelfusion.co.uk and select a flight, clicking on this flight will take you directly to the fare page on our supplier's site and you make your booking from there.
